US History of Times and Places Series

Within this page, you will find two different types of historical tales - non-fiction and fictionalized non-fiction.

We begin with the story of SNAKE...and AMY-TSOSIE, a historical non-fiction that tells the story of a girl on the Navajo Reservation.

COMING SOON:  This second set of volumes are fictionalized non-fiction, based on stories of boys and girls living in Early America.

SNAKE...and AMY-TSOSIE

This book presents a photo-journal story on location in Monument Valley.  The beautiful color photographs by world renowned Josef Muench bring to life the true story of a little girl being healed in the Navajo sandpainting ceremony.  Scenes from the Navajo culture focus on sandpainting and a belief system, as well as the art, lifestyle, and geography of the Southwest.
