Spanish California And The Mission Trail

This historic tale of Spanish California and the development of the west coast of the United States began over 500 years ago. It was a time of discovery, of new inventions and expansion of empires.    Dreams of great wealth and the treasures in distant lands fired the imaginations of European kings and queens.  Through royal decree and plans for colonization, their adventurers sailed on unknown seas in search of new trade routes to the riches in far away places.

This book chronicles the story of European exploration, as well as a complete history of the California missions, the life and history of the Native Americans of California, and the establishment of the chain of missions along the California trail.
